Embedded in our program are four key voices – the child’s, guardians, community and educators. A transparent relationship with the child’s micro and macro world will enable us to understand their thoughts and emotions and guide them to be the successful learners they are destined to be. We combine these voices to formulate high-quality care and education that is driven with the children. All voices are documented and extended on, against the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. It is through this that we form a Nurtured Curriculum.
We acknowledge the need for play-based learning and its ability to captivate a child and create a stimulating environment. Therefore, it is through play that we enforce our program and it is through play that we observe, document and reflect on how children individually respond. Children are challenged through the process of investigating, problem solving, interacting and listening. We believe in exploring effective communication, creativity, curiosity and confidence – all which is customised to their interests, needs, abilities and diversities.
Our curriculum provides a respectful and supportive partnership with families and the community that focuses on communication. Relationships with families will begin the moment they enquire about the service, and will continue until their transition to school.
Nurtured Education & Care acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay respects to elders past, Present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
