Acts of Charity Program

Helping Children See They Can Make a Difference

At Nurtured Education & Care, we believe children are never too young to learn kindness, generosity, and community care. Our Acts of Charity Program gives children opportunities to take part in fundraising and community support throughout the year. Through simple, age-appropriate activities, children begin to understand that their actions can help others. They see first-hand that small acts of care can create positive change.

Fundraising With Purpose

Each year, our children, families, and community take part in charity fundraising activities.

This may include charity nights, bake sales, special events, themed dress-up days, water bottle collection drives, family donations, and other centre-led activities.

Children do not always have money or resources of their own. But through fundraising, they learn they can still be part of helping others.

Learning Through Giving

Fundraising gives children a sense of empowerment. They begin to see that helping others is not only something adults do. Children can contribute too, in safe and simple ways. Through the Acts of Charity Program, children learn about:

Empathy

Children begin to think about how other people may feel and what they may need.

Community Care

Children see how families, educators, and the wider community can work together.

Positive Action

Children learn that small steps can still make a real difference.

Confidence

Children feel proud when they take part in something meaningful.

Big Lessons in Small Moments

A bake sale can teach generosity. A dress-up day can start a conversation about kindness. A bottle collection can show children that small efforts add up.

These experiences help children understand that care can move beyond the classroom and into the wider world.

At Nurtured Education & Care, charity is not treated as a one-off event. It becomes part of how children learn about fairness, compassion, and community.

what parents say about their experience with us

Families often notice children becoming more aware of others. They ask questions. They talk about helping. They feel proud to take part in centre events. These moments remind us that children are capable of kindness in big and small ways.
